How are you involved in education?
- I teach AP U.S. History, AP Macroeconomics and serve as one of our sites Ed Techs. I also serve as a board member at large with the Oklahoma Council for Social Studies, a Master Teacher with the Oklahoma Council on Economic Education, and on the Economic Education Advisory Council through the local Federal Reserve Bank.
What does your ideal school or classroom look like?
- Actively engaged students making choices that impact the course of their learning. I generally love quiet and calm situations but these adjectives rarely describe my classroom. Getting students active requires a total embrace of the chaos and I have learned to be ok with this because it is about my students, not me.
If you were to lead a session at Edcamp, what would it be about?
- How to teach content by teaching process skills.
