How are you involved in education?
- Currently I teach 7th grade geography at Shawnee Middle School. However, I have taught pre-K, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grades- all subject areas in Tennessee and Georgia. I have also taught Ed. Psych and Collaboration classes to preservice educators at Columbus State University. Although I just finished my doctorate degree a year ago at Union University, I still feel like there is so much to learn and advocate for not only in Oklahoma, but throughout the United States when it comes to education.
What does your ideal school or classroom look like?
- I love collaborative, purposeful lessons that engage students in learning, organizing, presenting, and life skills. In my room I have student work hanging everywhere…when it will stay up!
